Jasper County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host a farmland leasing meeting from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday at Newton DMACC, 600 N. Second Ave. W.
ISU Farm and Ag Business Management Specialist Steve Johnson will present information and updates on many topics including cash rental rates, land values, writing and terminating a farm lease and determining a fair cash rent for 2016. Attendees are asked to register by email or phone on or before Wednesday. Registration is $20 per individual or $30 per couple, payable at the door.
