• Women’s Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at 219 N. Second Ave. W. in Newton.

• A book signing by Dr. Tom Hoover will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at Uncle Nancy’s in Newton. Hoover will be available to sign copies of his book, “How We Made The Gyrofoam, The Story of Two Midwestern Farm Boys Who Changed Washday Mondays Forever.”

• Newton Golden K Kiwanis will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Newton Village for social time, coffee and a program. Anyone interested in the program or learning more about Golden K Kiwanis is welcome to to come as a guest. For more information contact Rev. Thomas Lloyd at 641-792-3612.

• Power Thoughts women’s study will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hephzibah House, 721 E. Fourth St. N. in Newton.

• Newton Rotary Club will meet at noon Tuesday at the DMACC Newton Campus upstairs banquet room. The program will be presented by Kevin Foley on the Des Moines Airport expansion. Anyone interested in attending and learning more about the Newton Rotary Club is welcome. • Chapter AO P.E.O. will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Linda Bryant in Newton. Refreshments will be served first and the meeting and program will follow.

• Bible Study for women will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hephzibah House, 721 E. Fourth St. N. in Newton.
