When Brandon McReynolds won the K&N Pro Series combination race at Iowa Speedway back in May, he needed a late pass on a restart with eight laps to go to take the lead and eventually ended up in victory lane.

When McReynolds returned to Iowa on Friday, it was a different story with the same ending.

This time, McReynolds earned the pole, led 127 laps and had by far the best car in claiming the victory in the #ThanksKenny150 at Iowa Speedway.

McReynolds became the first driver with back-to-back wins in the series in 13 starts at Iowa.

"Our NAPA Toyota was really good," McReynolds said. "I was too picky in practice about my car and maybe got sidetracked a few times, but the team did a good job keeping me focused.

"We made some really good adjustments at halfway that helped us. It feels good to be back here at victory lane."

McReynolds won his second race of the season with his father Larry McReynolds in attendance. Larry McReynolds is a former NASCAR crew chief and current racing analyst for Fox Sports.

"To have him here and supporting me really means a lot. I hate that he can't attend more races, but maybe one day I can work up the bracket and perform in front of him down the road," Brandon McReynolds said. "To see him here and to see his smile and a little bit of tears on his face really goes a long way with me."

Brandon McReynolds battled Rico Abreu up front all night. But Jesse Little made a swift pass of Abreu on a late restart to capture second.

Little even passed Brandon McReynolds on a restart at lap 146 but the No. 16 NAPA Toyota regained the lead and sped away from the win.

Little wound up second, followed by Spencer Davis, Abreu and new West points leader Noah Gragson. The rest of the top 10 included James Bickford, JJ Haley, Scott Heckert, Collin Cabre and Alex Schutte.

"Brandon had by far the best car tonight and it was going to take a heck of an effort to beat him," said Little, whose car had the "Get to Know Newton" logo on it. "I am proud of all of our Toyota racing guys. It's something to build on and good to get some momentum going. Hopefully we can carry it through for the rest of the year."

William Byron came into the weekend with a 29-point lead over Austin Hill in the East standings. He finished 19th and Hill ended up 26th.

Chris Eggleston entered the #ThanksKenny150 with a one-point lead over Gragson and a two-point lead of Gracin Raz. Gragson's fifth-place finish should move him back into the lead. Eggleston ended up 16th and Raz finished 23rd.
