You’re invited to a baby shower, but this is not for your typical newborn.
The Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Humane Society is holding a baby shower for its puppies and kittens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at its location, 5411 Liberty Ave.
Snacks, cupcakes and door prizes will be available, including gift cards to Family Video, American Eagle Outfitters, Theisens and many more. All of the adoptable puppies and kittens will be available during the shower, along with all adult cats having a reduced fee of $25.
Donations most needed include kitten food, dog or puppy food, dry or wet for both, bleach, Simple Green or Fabuloso and cat litter. Cans are also appreciated and can be dropped off in the recycling barrel outside the building.
