• Ronald H. Kuhl, 44, of Rock Island, Ill., is charged with operating while under the influence and open container after authorities pulled him over on Interstate 80 at 2:22 a.m. Thursday. Officers were called about a service truck that was all over the road and nearly hit a bridge. Officers found Kuhl with red, watery and bloodshot eyes. He had a BAC of .08. An open container of Four Loco was found in the cup holder and Kuhl said he had not had a drink for a couple of hours. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Duane G. Loshaw, 45, of Newton, is charged with violation of no contact order after authorities were called to 812 N. Seventh Ave. W. at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers spoke with the protected party who alleged she was mowing her lawn and Loshaw pulled into her driveway. He stopped, placed a glass of iced tea on the driveway and left. He had also been sending text message that were intimate in nature. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Jack R. Carpenter, 22, of Kellogg, is charged with operating while under the influence after authorities pulled him over in the 1300 block of Iowa Speedway Drive at 10:42 p.m. Saturday. Officers observed Carpenter with bloodshot, watery eyes and they smelled alcohol coming from the vehicle. Carpenter admitted to drinking and had a BAC of .221. He was cited and released to appear.

• Alexis M. Nell, 24, of Newton, is charged with public intoxication and assault after authorities were called to 122 N. Second Ave. W. at 1:34 a.m. Sunday. Officers were called about a man being kicked by a drunk woman. Officers spoke with Nell who said she was pushed by the man and then she kicked him in the face. She had slow, slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. She admitted to drinking and being drunk. Officers spoke with the victim who alleged that he was sitting on the ground and Nell kicked him on the chin. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Anthony J. Sullivan, 23, of Grimes, is charged with driving while barred and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers were called to 2300 Law Center Drive at 4:45 a.m. Friday. Sullivan went to the Jasper County Jail to bond out an inmate and presented a non-driver ID card. He acknowledged that his license was not valid. While searching his vehicle, officers found a blue glass pipe that smelled of marijuana. They also found a small bottle with an empty pen glued through it that can be used to smoke illegal narcotics. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
