The Newton Community School District 2015-16 Kindergarten Round-Up registration forms are now available online at www.newton.k12.ia.us or at the administration office, located at Emerson Hough, 700 N. Fourth Ave. E.
Preschool — The 4 year old program is for students 4 years old on or before Sept. 15. There is no cost for this program as it is funded by the State of Iowa. However, eligibility is based on income. Administration encourages parents to complete an application in order to determine if their child will qualify.
The 3 year old program is fore students 3 years old on or before Sept. 15.
This program has a monthly tuition of $25. Spaces in this program are more limited as staff automatically serves all students identified with special needs.
Once applications are received, parents will be notified within around 30 days of child’s placement. For more questions, contact Brooke Kuker at kukerb@newton.k12.ia.us.
Round-Up — Round-up is for students who will be 5 years old by Sept. 15. Forms many be dropped up at the administration office. Summer hours at the office are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays.
