• Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal campaign will stop at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Moo’s BBQ, 103 W. Second St. N. in Newton.

• Live Music will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Rock Creek State Park, 5627 Rock Creek E. St. in Kellogg. Featured band will be Back Home Bluegrass, located next to the boat dock and concession stand. Freewill offering for the band. Open to the public.

• Kellogg Sesquicentennial will meet at 8 p.m. Friday in downtown Kellogg.

• Kellogg Sesquicentennial will meet at 7 a.m. Saturday in downtown Kellogg.

• A.R.K. of The Way will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at Newton Church of The Way, 2306 S. Third Ave. E. in Newton, to give away diapers, wipes and spring clothes for children sizes 0-14, while supplies last. If you know of anyone in need invite them to come.

• Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 223 E. Fourth St. N. in Newton.

• Sensory-friendly showing of “Inside Out” will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Capitol II Theatre, 116 First St. N. in Newton. The volume will be turned down and lights turned up. Feel free to be yourself — sing, clap, dance or just move around.

• Peer Support for those living with mental illness will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at Optimae Life Services, 1730 First Ave. E. in Newton.

• No Bakken Yes Freedom group will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at American Legion Post 111, 1101 W. Fourth St. S. in Newton. This meeting is to help area citizens understand the effects of the proposed Bakken pipeline. Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement staffer Nathan Machowski and some affected Jasper County landowners will speak about what they have learned about the pipeline and its possible impact, eminent domain, impacts on soil and water, and the realities of job creation related to the pipeline.
