• Shawn E. Ridenour, 46, of Newton, was arrested on two Jasper County warrants after authorities were called to 314 S. Second Ave. E. at 10:20 a.m. June 18. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• David A. Crow, 61, of Newton, was arrested on a Jasper County warrant for probation violation after authorities were called to 600 N. Second Ave. W. at 3:40 p.m. Monday. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Kristopher C. Walker, 36, of Newton, was arrested on a Jasper County warrant for failure to appear after authorities were called to 904 N. Sixth Ave. E. at 9:50 p.m. Monday. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Zachary A. Cupples, 20, of Newton, is charged with possession of controlled substance and driving while license denied after authorities pulled him over in the 1300 block of First Avenue East at 12:43 a.m. Saturday. Officers knew that Cupples had his license revoked and when he was pulled over officers found a small plastic baggie with a substance that smelled like marijuana. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Amy J. Rogers, 35, of Newton, is charged with failure to yield upon left turn after authorities were called to the intersection of East Eighth Street South and South Eighth Avenue East at 4:04 p.m. June 4. Rogers entered the intersection to turn left and said she did not see Sharon Samson’s vehicle before making contact with it. Both vehicles had approximately $2,000 in damage. She was cited and released to appear.
