• Kids Camp “Rough Waves? Jesus Saves!” Summer Camp will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at Newton Church of The Way, 2306 S. Third Ave. E. The camp is for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. Register online at newtonway.org.

• Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 223 E. Fourth St. N. in Newton.

• NHS Class of 1958 will meet at 9 a.m. Friday at PJ’s Deli in Newton. All class members are welcome to gather for coffee and fellowship.

• Princess Adventures will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Newton Arboretum, 3000 N. Fourth Ave. E. Girls ages 5-8 are invited to the park in “princess attire” (whatever that means to them). We will learn about a courageous woman from the past, participate in a nature activity, followed by a tea party with a snack.

• Battlefield of the Mind women’s study will meet at 1 p.m. Friday at Hephzibah House in Newton.

• Penny Bingo will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Jasper County Senior Citizens Center, 702 E. Third St. S. in Newton.

• Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will make a campaign stop at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Moo’s BBQ, 103 W. Second St. N. in Newton.

• Live Music will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Rock Creek State Park, 5627 Rock Creek E. St. in Kellogg. Featured band will be Back Home Bluegrass, located next to the boat dock and concession stand. Freewill offering for the band.

• Kellogg Sesquicentennial will begin at 8 p.m. Friday in downtown Kellogg.

• ARK of The Way clothing giveaway will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Newton Church of The Way, 2306 S. Third Ave. E. in Newton. We will be giving away diapers, wipes and spring clothes for children sizes 0-14 (while supplies last). If you know of anyone in need invite them to come.

• Sensory-friendly showing of “Inside Out” will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Capitol II Theatre, 116 First St. N. in Newton. Volume turned down; lights turned up. Feel free to be yourself — sing, clap, dance or just move around.

• Peer Support for those living with mental illness will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at Optimae Life Services, 1730 First Ave. E. in Newton.

• David Zollo & The Body Electric will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Pour House in Laurel.

• Wickliff family reunion will meet at 11 a.m. Sunday at Maytag Park Log Cabin Shelter in Newton.
