The Skiff Medical Center Auxiliary recently honored the 22 winners of the 2015 Auxiliary Scholarships, totaling more than $20,000. The scholarships, for students pursuing higher education in health-related fields, are awarded on the basis of academic and professional achievement, along with other factors.
Nursing scholarships: Adalee Blair – $1,000 (in memory of Lydia E. Swihart); Cassidy Van Veen – $1,000 (in honor of Maxine and Sterling Swanger); Taylor Phifer – $1,000 (in honor of Lois Vogel, with additional Auxiliary contribution); and Paige Reed – $1,000 (in honor of Joyce and Janet Slycord, with additional Auxiliary contribution).
Health-related scholarships, all in the amount of $1,000: Matthew Rossler, Connor Warrick, Kari McCleary, Brittaney Davies, Amber Karsten, Elisabeth Engel, Emma Williams, Emily Law, Amanda Richtsmeier, Catherine Hennessey-Carter, Madigan Hillyard, Michaela Jacobsen, Charity Ingle and Ashley Ambroson.
Geneva Trost Field of Medicine scholarship: Jesse Cochran – $1,000 (with additional Auxiliary contribution).
Skiff Medical Center employee/family scholarship: Jenna Blunt – $1,000.
Ron Ross Health-Care Administration scholarship: Heather Clayton – $1,000.
Ron Ross Health-Related scholarship: Katherine Hadsall – $1,000 (with additional Auxiliary contribution).
