Shawn O’Connor will be showing his most recent sets of photography from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the basement of First Presbyterian Church, 220 N. Second Ave. E. in Newton.
The photos consist of scenery in Newton. O’Connor is a client of Progress Industries and Willowbrook. He has down syndrome and autism and sees the world in pictures. His talent has been handed down to him through his great-grandfather who attended the Chicago Art Institute, his uncle who was a long standing professional photographer in Grinnell, O’Conner Photography. His own father majored in art at UNI.
Shawn O’Conner is the son of Connie Robertson, who had helped him in his interest.
