Excess NSIP funds were requested and approved for Jasper County Elderly Nutrition by the Jasper County Board of Supervisors Tuesday.
The additional $3,942.62 will be used to purchase, pay for and receive food items before June 30. The board also approved a contract with Skiff Medical Center to provide home meals on weekends and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays at a rate of $6 and $5 respectively.
In other business, Nathan Squire was approved for hire as a part-time male jail officer. His start date is June 11 at a pay rate of $17.23 per hour.
