DAVENPORT — An 18-year-old faces a felony charge after authorities in eastern Iowa say he stabbed a high school student in April.
Drew Romkey was booked into the Scott County Jail in Davenport Wednesday morning after police issued an arrest warrant for him. He was released a short time later on a $10,000 cash bond.
The Quad-Cities Times reports Romkey is accused of stabbing an 18-year-old high school student four times in the stomach in a residential area on April 11.
The student survived but required an extended hospitalization.
Romkey, also a student at the same high school, faces a felony charge of willful injury causing serious injury. A message left for his attorney was not immediately returned Wednesday.
