The Newton Parks and Grounds Division has set the 2015 Summer Concert Series dates to be held at Maytag Park.
The concert series will begin on June 4 and will continue through the first week in August. Included in this year’s lineup are local favorites like the Newton City Band, Slipstream, JJ Express, and Highway Home.
In addition, the series will include Malek’s Fisherman Band, a well-known Iowa polka band, and the very popular dueling pianos act. The dueling pianos will be joined by Music! Music!, a karaoke band, which will help take their show to a new level this year.
Concert series dates: June 4 — Newton City Band; June 18 — Newton City Band; June 25— Newton City Band; July 2 — Newton City Band; July 9 — JJ Express; July 16 — Highway Home; July 23 — Slipstream; July 30 — Dueling Pianos and Music! Music!; Aug. 6 — Malek’s Fisherman Band.
All the performances are set to begin at 7 p.m. The Highway Home performance on July 16 is sponsored by Advantage Credit Union.
