Jenny Lynn Bailey, 28 of Baxter passed away at her home with her loving family by her side on Sunday, May 10, 2015 due to complications of AT. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bethany United Church of Christ in Baxter. Funeral services will be held on May 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethany United Church of Christ with Pastor Wanda Seydel officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Baxter.

Jenny was born in Des Moines on June 19, 1986 to Jeff and Debra (Brandt) Bailey. Jenny grew up in Baxter and attended Newton High School and graduated in 2007. With her fighting attitude from a young age Jenny was able to overcome the many obstacles in her life. She was very active, loved spending time with her family and friends, cheering on her Minnesota Vikings, anything Disney, crafting, gardening, spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, swimming, tubing and taking vacations to see new places.

Those left to cherish Jenny’s loving memories are her mother, Debra Bailey of Baxter, father, Jeff and Carol Bailey of Chariton; sister, Jessica Bailey of Newton; grandparents, Lynn Brandt and Marene May of Indianola, Sandra Lane of Des Moines, Glorene Masters of Newton, and Donna Burton of Des Moines; great-grandma, Gladys Porter of Ankeny; close God family, Angie and Bob Lepley, Alex and Radar Clifton, Alexia Lepley and Nick Olson and Bailley Mason, special cousin Christian Brandt of Baxter; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.

Jenny was preceded in death by her grandfather Roger Bailey and great-grandparents.

Thank you to Progress Industries & HIRTA bus drivers for the care and love you gave to Jenny. Special thanks to those in the “AT” familes for their support and camaraderie. You will always have a special place in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Progress Industry or AT Project in Jenny’s name.

In honor of Jenny please wear your Vikings, Hawkeyes, or Barnstormers apparel or their colors to her visitation and funeral.
