Iowa Speedway, 3M announce race entitlement sponsorship

Iowa Speedway announced Thursday that 3M will be the entitlement sponsor of the NASCAR Xfinity Series race on May 17, titled the 3M 250. As part of the newly formed partnership, 3M will integrate its products throughout Iowa Speedway to help improve the experience for fans, partners, teams, and employees.

A more engaging environment for fans, including designated prime ‘selfie’ picture taking areas made possible by 3M, is part of an improved overall track experience. 3M Envision Wrap Films allow Iowa Speedway to go greener without sacrificing good looks, performance and durability of branding and communications assets across the property.

“We specialize in customizing partnerships, programs and promotions for a diverse roster of companies,” said Iowa Speedway President Jimmy Small. “This opportunity is especially exciting because it has enabled us to promote an authentic product and service integration with 3M while also delivering more value to our fans and sponsors. Having been involved in the sport for almost two decades, 3M is already a seasoned partner throughout NASCAR. As an Official Partner of NASCAR, 3M amplifies its activation at the track through a number of NASCAR assets to broaden its reach and engage NASCAR fans on a national level. More than 150 of its products and technologies are used in the construction and maintenance of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series race cars each and every race weekend.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is the racing series where “Names are Made” and is like nothing else in major pro sports. It features NASCAR’s most talented young drivers regularly competing side-by-side against NASCAR’s finest and brightest stars. Currently, the average age of the top four drivers in the NASCAR Xfinity Series standings is 21.2 years old.

The 3M 250 will run at "The Fastest Short Track on the Planet" at 1 p.m. May 17 at 1 p.m. on FOX Sports 1.
