Ericson finishes fifth, CMB-CN third in triangular

COLO — The CMB-CN girls’ golf team finished a distant third in a home triangular at Twin Anchors Golf Course on Monday.

The Raiders got a 48 from Abbie Ericson, but the team was 32 strokes behind Bondurant-Farrar and Heart of Iowa Conference rival Roland-Story, which both shot a 191.

CMB-CN carded a 223 and Ericson’s 48 was good enough for fifth individually.

Bondurant-Farrar’s Amy Stock turned in an 8-over-par 40 to earn medalist honors. Roland-Story’s Bridget Concannon was next with a 44.

Tying for third was Bondurant-Farrar’s Halley Fall and Roland-Story’s Jess Coghlan. They both shot a 47.

Finishing after Ericson for the Raiders was Courtney Clapper, who shot a 51.

Halley Buseman added a 56 and Avery Hlavacek’s 68 was the final counting score.

The Raiders return to the links Wednesday when they head to Boone for the HOIC tournament. Action from Cedar Pointe Golf Club begins at 9 a.m.
