Jasper County Conservation Board will be hosting its monthly program for senior citizens called Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors or OWLS for short.
The OWLS program is a conservation program that encourages seniors to stay active and learn new things about our natural world.
The OWLS program will be offered at 10 a.m. on May 13 at the Jasper County Armory/Annex, 1030 W. Second St. S., Newton. This month the topic is “Container Gardening.” Area senior citizens are invited to join and learn a few ideas for limited space gardening and pot a tomato plant to take home. Class is limited, call 641-792-9780 to reserve your spot. Feel free to bring your own container. Coffee and a little treat will also be served.
