Jasper Conservation Connection and the Jasper County Conservation Board will be partnering to host the Eighth annual Hook, Line & Sinker family fishing derby on May 30 at Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve starting at 9 a.m. The fishing derby is free for all ages.
The event will include educational presentations on fish ID, casting, preparing fish, lure making and fly fishing and bow fishing. After a provided lunch, participants will have the afternoon to go fishing and door prizes will be given out. The first 75 kids to register will receive a free T-shirt.
To register, please visit the Jasper County Conservation website at www.jaspercountyconservation.com to print off a registration form. Forms must be returned by May 22 to the Conservation Office to ensure participants are served a meal the day of the derby.
