The Granny Mustangs, featuring all women ages 50 and older from Jasper County, will be going toe to toe with the Newton YMCA/United Way of Jasper County Globetrotters for a charity basketball game.

• Cellphones for Soldiers — The DMACC Newton Campus Community Organization class of Spring 2015 has teamed up with “Cellphones for Soldiers” and is collecting gently used cellphones. Phones will have free minutes added to them before they are delivered to the soldiers. Drop your old cellphone off at the front desk of the Newton Campus, 600 N. Second Ave. W. until April 28.
