The Central Iowa Property Association is hosting a forum on Civil Rights protections and how to avoid discrimination lawsuits on May 14 at the Panda Garden Buffet in Newton.
The speaker will be Don Grove of the Iowa Civil Rights Commission. He will be addressing the topics of proper screening of candidates for tenancy to avoid discrimination claims being brought against you or your business.
A group discussion on current topics will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the speaker to follow at 5 p.m. This will give time to eat and catch up on recent important topics that are relevant to the business of owning/investing in real estate and to learn how to make the business more productive and profitable.
