Chapter K-EN TTT
Eleven members of Chapter K-EN T.T.T. met April 14 in the home of Jane Johnson with Shirley Nuzum serving as co-hostess.
The evening began with a program by Pam and Andy Stone on their recent trip to India. Dessert and tea was served.
The meeting was called to order by President Val McKee.
Roll was taken and minutes read. The treasurer’s report was given.
The group had recently made their annual contribution to the national camping project fund.
The camp committee reported that our campers will attend the YMCA camp from July 26-Aug. 1. Three girls have been chosen and are being prepared to attend.
The program committee reported that the May meeting will be held in the Garden Room at Park Center with a catered dinner from Hy-Vee.
McKee and Kay Parsons reported on their trip to state convention April 10-11 in Burlington. The state organization decided to continue with an annual convention, but all the business will be conducted on Saturday to accommodate working members. They attended the camp workshop, purchased items for our campers at the market and enjoyed the Friday night banquet.
Members are encouraged to bring cash donations to the May meeting if they wish to participate in this year’s “step it up” effort. This is a national effort to keep the organization’s project funded without dipping into the reserve funds.
