Newton Seed Store demo concludes

After five days of demolition work, the former Newton Seed Store and Waterworks buildings, 224 and 216 N. Third Ave. W., both came down to leave scattered bricks and an empty lots. The city purchased the building for $135,000 in September with the intentions of demolishing it. Iowa Demolition, Inc. of Des Moines was contracted to do the work which started last Monday.
