• A Holocaust survivor will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Congregational United Church of Christ, 308 E. Second St. N. in Newton. Professor Harold Kasimow and Tyler Roberts will give a program about the Holocaust. Kasimow is the George Drake Professor Emeritus of Religious Studies at Grinnell College and a survivor of the Holocaust. Roberts is Professor of Religious Studies at Grinnell College.

• Preschool Story Time will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Newton Public Library, 100 N. Third Ave. W. Storytime is for preschoolers ages 3 to 5. Siblings are also welcome. Call Youth Services Librarian Phyllis Peter at 641-792-4108 with questions.
