The following Newton High School students were recently awarded Little Hawkeye Conference Art Awards:
First Place: Alexa Yoakum, crafts/glass; and Megan Shores, sculpture.
Second Place: Anna Forsythe, crafts/glass; Breckelle Bathke, acrylic painting; and Maddy Noe, 3D mixed media.
Third Place: Jenefer Tudor, hand-built ceramics; and Victoria Jordan, graphite.
Honorable Mention: Carolyn Thurmond, hand-built ceramics; Keena Machin, acrylic painting; Breckelle Bathke, acrylic painting; Cole Peters, hand-built pottery; Gracie Rorabaugh, 2D mixed media; Kenna Machin, crafts/fiber; and Halee Mundell, crafts/glass.
Also selected to attend were Troy William Lillo, Rylie Udelhoven, Sarah Prendergast and Greg Mettler.
