Cross walk was meaningful worship experience

The Mission Coalition would like to publicly thank all who helped make the Way of the Cross walk on Good Friday a meaningful worship experience.

People directly involved in leading the event included Edwin Dobbs, Mary Halstead, Carol Kramer, Larry Hurto, Steve Halstead, Zach Bey, Katherine Thorpe, Bob Sandquist, Virginia Bennett, Dave Stolper, Deanna Manley, Meghan Davis, Margaret Caldwell, Gary Parsons, Don Perkins, Don Freeman, the youth of First United Methodist Church, Lori Goodman, Karen Petersen, Jessica Petersen, Stormy Storms, Bruce Curtis, Bev Curtis, Bruce Hoffmeier, Carol Macksey and Keith Steinbach.

Many others supported the event by obtaining volunteers to help with the event, unlocking churches, operating sound and lighting equipment, opening doors, providing directions and assistance, helping with publicity, printing programs, and joining in prayers for the event, its participants and the community.

The sharing of Jesus’ final journey in this manner, with people of all ages and religious viewpoints, is a deeply moving remembrance of the love Jesus taught. In coming together to reflect on his sacrifice, we come together in confession and gratitude. All are encouraged to consider joining us for the 2016 Way of the Cross event, which will start at noon on Good Friday, March 25, 2016.
