Iowa spring weather hit the area sports scene Tuesday, bringing several postponements.
Newton High’s tennis teams were to have played Marshalltown — boys at home and girls at Marshalltown — but the weather put a halt to the season openers.
Lynnville-Sully’s coed track meet, which included Colfax-Mingo’s teams, was postponed at Sully. Collins-Maxwell/Baxter’s girls were to have competed in a track meet at Gilbert, but didn’t.
Make-up dates were not available at press time.
