In an expansion of the Run Warren Run volunteer field program in Iowa, MoveOn.org Political Action has identified key county leaders in Central Iowa.
The Western Iowa volunteer county leaders include Ellen Fairchild (Boone), Jerry Tormey (Polk), Nathan Unsworth (Jasper), Sue Kelly (Decatur), Cheryl Scherr (Marion), Kurt Kelsey (Hardin), and LuAnn Garvey (Hamilton). Run Warren Run is announcing more than 20 county leaders across the state.
“The issues that Elizabeth Warren champions are so important,” said Jasper County Leader Nathan Unsworth, of Newton. “Our candidates are better prepared through a discussion through the primary process.”
These leaders will serve as points of contact for the Run Warren Run campaign in their county, supporting volunteers to organize visibility events, phone banks, letter-writing, social media and other activities to demonstrate to Senator Warren that she has the support she needs in Iowa to run and win in the caucuses.
