NCT presents ‘The Hallelujah Girls’

The Newton Community Theatre will be traveling to the Iowa AACTFEST Festival hosted by Waterloo Community Playhouse on April 9-12.

They will be entering the production “The Hallelujah Girls.” A local production will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday with a free will offering to help defer cost of the festival entry.

Cast and crew members include: Benita Gearhart, Julie Laube, Julie Schaeffer, Judy Richmond, Tammy Sposeto, Sandy Olsthoorn. Scott Schaeffer, Harvey Olsthoorn. Sue Beukema. John Doua, Linda Dougan, Mel Wilson, Mary Thompson.

The production will be at the Newton Community Theatre, 1701 S. Eighth Ave E. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The winners of the Iowa AACTFest will go on to compete at the Region V Festival which will be at the Newton Community Theatre April 23-26.
