CLINTON — Police say they were responding to a report of a fight in Clinton when they were advised that it had escalated to a shooting.
Officers with the Clinton Police Department were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. They arrived at the scene to find that 28-year-old Cordell Clark had already been taken to the hospital following the shooting.
Capt. William Greenwalt says Clark is being treated at Mercy Medical Center for a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The injuries have been deemed non-life threatening.
No arrests have been made. Police say the case remains under investigation.
