• 28th Annual Chill-I Ride will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at PJ’s Deli in Newton. This family friendly event starts at PJ’s Deli and includes laps around the Iowa Speedway. Cookies and hot chocolate are served halfway during the course as well as chili and soup at the finish line. Cost for the event is $15 per person. All proceeds go to the Chichaqua Valley Trail.

• Young Professionals of Jasper County’s Re-Prom will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at Iowa Speedway, 3333 Rusty Wallace Dr. in Newton. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the event for $30. All proceeds from Re-Prom will be given to Iowa Speedway Cares as part of YPJC’s continuing effort to support our mission and making a positive impact on where we live, work and play.
