A Celebration of Life for Kimberly “Kim” will be held on at a later date, at the Pence–Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Kim’s Family.

Kimberly Jean Winchell, 57, the daughter of David and Betty (Landgrebe) Lippert, was born Oct. 15, 1957, in Newton. She was a graduate of the Newton Senior High School, Class of 1976, and received an Associate Degree in journalism from DMACC.

In 1976, she was married to John Jackson. Kim was employed as a staff writer and proofreader for the Des Moines Register. She also owned and operated an antique shop. On Dec. 10, 1983, Kim was united in marriage to Guy G. Winchell in Kellogg. She enjoyed writing, reading, and antiques, and spending time with her family.

Kim passed away on Thursday morning, March 19, 2015, at her home in Newton. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Those left to honor Kim’s memory include her son Clinton G. Winchell; her daughters: Nicole Jackson, Natalie Winchell (Jeff Jones) and Cara Winchell (Skylar Smith); her two grandsons: Jeffery Jones and Jackson Poley; her parents: David and Betty Lippert; her brother Duane “Dave” Lippert; a niece Sara Lippert; and many friends.
