Iowa CCI will be hosting a Clean Water Teach-in in Newton from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Newton Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, 3000 N. Fourth Ave. E.
At the meeting speakers will talk about numerous topics relating to Iowa’s water quality including a yet-to-be released report by Iowa Policy Project titled, “Winter Manure Application: Waste of a Resource, Assessing Agriculture Policy Implications for the Mississippi River Basin,” Iowa CCI’s Clean Water Fight, the Bakken Pipeline and how to win clean water at the Statehouse.
Speakers will be David Osterberg, Founding Director of the Iowa Policy Project and Rep. Dan Kelley.
