NHS girls’ junior varsity finishes on a victory

NORWALK — Newton High’s junior varsity girls finished the 2014-15 basketball season Friday with a convincing 45-28 win over host Norwalk.

The Cardinal girls led 27-16 at halftime.

Megan Pressgrove paced Newton with eight points. Scoring seven points each were Courtney Jacobsen and Taylor Shipley. Jaci Twaddle hit two 3-pointers for six points.

Victoria Jordan scored five points and Taylor Moon added four. Scoring two points apiece were Jessie Smith, Elli Horn, Tessa Keeton and Randi Walters.

The junior varsity finished at 13-6.
