Local troops prepare for cookie sales

Local Girl Scouts, parents and leaders sort through last week’s delivery of Girl Scout cookies. There are five local Newton Troops — Cadette, Junior, two Brownie Troops and a Daisy troop. Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa’s cookie season kicks off on Friday. Local troops will be have booths on various days throughout the sale season.

Price is $4 per package and will be available through March 22.

Feb. 14 — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Newton 66/ Old Verizon Building

Feb. 15 — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Newton 66/Old Verizon Building

Feb. 18 — 5 to 8 p.m. at Walmart

Feb. 21 — 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Theisen’s

Feb. 21 — 10 a.m. to 2 and 5 to 9 p.m. at Family Video

Feb. 22 — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Walmart

Feb. 24 — 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Family Video

Feb. 25 — 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Family Video

Feb. 28 — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Newton 66/Old Verizon Building

Feb. 27 — 5 to 9 p.m. at Family Video

March 1 — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Newton 66/Old Verizon Building

March 4 — 5 to 8 p.m. at Walmart

March 7 — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Walmart
