Frank Wilimek

Frank Wilimek, 81, of Tempe, Ariz., died Monday, Jan. 12, 2015. He was born July 20, 1933, in Des Moines, to the late Edward and Beth Powell Wilimek. He grew up in Newton residing there until his high school graduation. He served his country in the Army Security Agency with the 6th Infantry Division in Korea. He received his bachelor’s degree in business at the University of Colorado. While in college, he met and married Ruth Helen Treman and they were married for 56 years. Frank and Ruth moved to Arizona in 1968. Frank was employed with the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife Ruth; two children, David Wilimek of Tempe, Steven Wilimek of Chandler; one sister, Louise Leutenegger of Mequon, Wis.; sister-in-law, Kay Wilimek of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.
