Library available to print any tax documents needed

Tax Form Information

It’s tax time again — and there has been a big change to the number and types of documents the IRS will be providing. This year we will only have the 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ forms — no instructions or schedules. We will have one set of complete 2014 forms available for copying. You can always use our computers to print the forms you need for $0.10 a page or ask the Information Librarian to print them for you at the same price. No tax forms are available at the library as of Thursday.

The state of Iowa ended their distribution program several years ago and the forms will be available by contacting the Department of Revenue at 800-532-1531 or by printing forms online.

If you received a new tablet for the holidays, bring it into the library to learn how to download eBooks and audiobooks. We can also help you sync email and connect to Wi-Fi. Introduction to Computers

There will be two classes on Jan. 23 on computer basics. Call the library at 641-792-4108 to register for the 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. class. Learn how to turn on and off a computer, use a mouse and keyboard, open windows and tabs, and the basic components to get you started. This is a one-time class.

Get Books Delivered to Your Home

The library offers access to library materials to persons unable to visit the library in person because of illness, injury, mobility, or disability. The library will match the homebound individual with a volunteer who will deliver books for patrons within city limits of Newton.
