Before beginning the new legislative term, State Representative Dan Kelley visited the fifth and sixth grade students at Newton Christian School on Jan. 8. Representative Kelley enjoyed lunch with the students and spoke to them about the legislative process, the responsibilities of a representative and answered student questions. The students are planning a field trip to the Des Moines Capitol building and Representative Kelley explained ways the students can be participating in politics at their age. Kelley represents Iowa’s 29th District.
