• Kris L. Long, 56, of Newton, is charged with failure to maintain control after authorities were called to East 21st Street South at 7:45 a.m. Dec. 16. Long was driving north when she hit Shawnda Nine in the rear bumper as she was parked. Nine received approximately $2,000 in damage while Long had approximately $3,000 in damage. She was cited and released to appear.

• A 14-year-old juvenile is charged with failure to main control after authorities were called to South Eighth Avenue West at 3:32 p.m. Dec. 16. The juvenile was traveling too fast when he lost control, spun around and hit the curb flipping the vehicle onto it’s side. There was approximately $5,000 in damage. He was cited and released to appear.

• Brenda S. Daughtrey, 33, of Newton, is charged with failure to obey stop sign after authorities were called to the intersection of North Fourth Avenue East and East Fourth St. North at 9:24 a.m. Wednesday. Daughtrey was driving south when she went through a stop sign and hit Danial Vasques on the passenger side. Vasques had approximately $2,500 in damage while Daughtrey had approximately $8,000. She was cited and released to appear.
