Dubuque officials move ahead with sledding ban

DUBUQUE — The Dubuque City Council has voted to move forward on a proposal to limit sledding and other winter recreational activities to two city parks. But the proposal is subject to another vote that will give winter sports enthusiasts at least another month of unrestricted access to city parks. The City Council voted 6-1 Monday in favor of a ban on sledding, skiing and snowboarding.
