To the Jasper County 4-H Gearbots Lego team, I say, congratulation and good luck!
I’m sure you will impress everyone with your robotics-project and knowledge of engineering at the regional competition this weekend in Marshalltown. Hopefully, your team will be one of the 10 qualifiers for the state competition. If you qualify, I’ll enjoy rooting you on in the championship next month at Iowa State University, College of Engineering in Ames.
Just remember, win or lose, you’re learning, representing us, and having fun. You’re working together as a team, and it’s paying off! Jasper County is proud of you.
The jobs of tomorrow, require a quality education. Science, math, engineering, and computer skills are critical. You’ll be better prepared because of this experience. Be sure to thank your teachers and sponsors for their time and expertise.
