Lynnville-Sully girls’ junior varsity wins

SULLY — Lynnville-Sully’s junior varsity girls overpowered visiting Pleasantville, 46-16, Monday night.

The Hawk junior varsity girls are 2-0 on the season.

“We were able to execute our man offensive sets last night to get some easy buckets,” said Lynnville-Sully assistant coach Jeff Corbett, “I felt it was clearly our best game of the early season, and we will need to continue to improve.”

McKinley Conover scored 10 points and pulled down five rebounds to lead the Hawks. Taylor Maasdam scored nine points.

Haley James and Christine Nikkel had six points and five points, respectively. Scoring four points each were Carmryn Russell, Makenzy Rozendaal and Jelissa Rozendaal.

Skyler Young and Mariah Vos each added two points.

The Hawk junior varsity played a two-quarter game against Keota on Nov. 25. It ended in a 15-15 tie.
