Morgan Family tour comes to FCC, Newton

First Christian Church will host a holiday concert “A Homestyle Family Christmas” at 4 p.m. Dec. 14 at the church, 314 E. Second St. N. in Newton.

The concert features favorite holiday songs and stories and is part of Christian recording artists The Phil & Pam Morgan Family’s annual tour. The group’s close family harmony and instrumental talent bring a fresh sound to both classic and contemporary Christmas carols.

The concert is modeled after the classic Christmas TV variety shows of yesteryear. The sanctuary is transformed into a giant “living room” where the audience is invited to share Christmas with the Morgan family. Carolers and special guests pop in from time to time to share special holiday memories and sing a song or two.

CDs and books will be available to purchase, and a love offering will be received for the Morgan’s 2015 ministry efforts. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Seating is not reserved.
