Perennial, small grain certification reminder

Producers who file accurate and timely reports for all crops and land uses, including failed acreage can prevent the potential loss of FSA program benefits. Please pay close attention to the acreage reporting dates below, as some dates are quickly approaching.

In order to comply with FSA program eligibility requirements, all producers are encouraged to visit the Jasper County FSA office to file an accurate crop certification report by the applicable deadline.

Acreage reporting dates are applicable for Jasper County Dec. 15 for all perennial forage (alfalfa, mixed grasses, grasses and clovers with intended uses as forage or grazing) and fall-seeded small grains, including those seeded as a cover crop, and July 15, 2015 for all other crops, including CRP.

After Dec. 15, late-file fees will be assessed for 2015 late-file acreage reports.

For questions regarding crop certification and crop loss reports, call the Jasper County FSA office at 641-792-5019.
