Craig E. Stevens

Craig E. Stevens, 55, of Colfax, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at his home. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at Coburn Funeral Home, with burial taking place at Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28 at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Unity Point Hospice or to Blank Children's Hospital. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The son of Claude Earl and Martha (Sager) Stevens, Craig was born Aug. 13, 1959, in Des Moines. Craig graduated from Colfax High School in 1978. He went to work at Vermeer in Pella, and worked there for 36 years. He was united in marriage to Peggy L. Bruce on May 21, 1993, in Newton.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Peggy; a step-son, Gregory Ingram; a grandson, Logan James Reed; his mother, Martha; and siblings, Sandy (Jay) Williams, Nancy (Bob) Rhone and Rob (Sheri) Stevens. Preceding him in death was his father, Earl; and grandparents, Claude and Jessie Stevens.
