OSKALOOSA — A jury has found an Oskaloosa woman guilty of killing her young daughter earlier this year. Jurors returned the verdict Wednesday afternoon against 21-year-old Alicia Ritenour in Mahaska County District Court. She was convicted of first-degree murder and child endangerment resulting in death. Authorities went to Ritenour’s apartment in January following a 911 call. Officers found 18-month-old Ava Ritenour dead. An autopsy showed she died of head trauma.
Ritenour will be sentenced on Jan. 2.
