NHS chemistry classes tour local business

Five Newton High School chemistry classes, taught by Sarah Curry and Chris Forsyth, toured Thombert on Nov. 11. The students learned about polyurethane chemistry and how Thombert uses chemistry to produce their products. Thombert, Inc. is the leading North American manufacturer of polyurethane wheels and tires for electric forklift trucks and other materials handling equipment. The company was founded in Newton in 1946.
