• Jennifer M. Armstrong, 35, of Colfax, is charged with driving while barred after authorities pulled her over in the 700 block of East 15th Street South at 11:41 a.m. Friday. Officers pulled over Armstrong for a stop sign violation and when she could not produce a driver’s license officers found her to be barred. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Michael R. McGhghy, 57, of Newton, is charged with following too close after authorities were called to the intersection of North Fourth Avenue East and East 19th Street North at 8:07 a.m. Friday. McGhghy was traveling behind Kevin Wright when Wright stopped to turn and was hit by McGhghy. Wright had approximately $200 in damage. McGhghy was cited and released to appear.

• Teresa G. Warner, 58, of Newton, is charged with failure to yield left turn after authorities were called to the intersection of First Avenue East and East Second Street South at 12:54 p.m. Thursday. April Horning was traveling east when Warner, who was traveling west, made a left turn in front of Horning and was hit. Horning and Warner both had approximately $3,000 is damage. Warner was cited and released to appear.
