The Newton YMCA is hosting a Turkey Trot 5K at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the 1701 S. Eighth Ave. E.
A 5K loop through town has been set up. All runners and walkers 14 years old and older are welcome to register. Check-in and post-race drawings will be in the YMCA small gym. Top overall male and female finishers will receive a frozen turkey for Thanksgiving and the top finishers in each age group receive fixings.
