• Dustin R. Stoner, 33, of Newton, is charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief after authorities were called to 1800 W. Fourth St. N. at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday. Officers arrived and found Stoner next to a car that he allegedly kicked. Stoner denied kicking the door but after looking at the door, officers saw a partial shoe print. The print matched the shoes that Stoner was wearing. After being taken into custody Stoner admitted to kicking the door because he was mad at the owner. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Curtis S. Lewis, 26, of Grinnell, is charged with public intoxication, third-degree criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance after authorities were called to the Speak Easy at 12:47 a.m. Thursday. Officers were performing a bar check when they saw Lewis kick the back door, shattering the glass. Officers attempted to contact Lewis but he tried to flee. When they caught up to him, he said he was in a bad mood and made a mistake and that he would pay for the damage. Lewis had a BAC over .08 and officers also found a bag of marijuana in his pocket. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• A 16-year-old juvenile is charged with fifth-degree theft after authorities were called to Wal-Mart at 2:33 p.m. Oct. 21. Officers spoke with an employee who said that three juveniles worked together to conceal $54.89 in merchandise. She was cited and released to appear.

• Keith M. McCollum, 18, of Newton, is charged with domestic abuse assault and disorderly conduct after authorities were called to 217 W. Fourth St. S. at 3:30 a.m. Friday. Officers spoke with the victim who said that she got in an argument about money and her whereabouts, which turned physical. She said she was pushed against a wall, punched and slapped. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
